Responsibilities
- Lead significant software projects, programs, and business initiatives while driving technical direction and innovation.
- Develop AI implementation roadmaps, evaluate AI model suitability and selection, and address model drift, performance, and scale challenges.
- Design enterprise-grade architectures and coordinate efforts across multiple engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Apply modern software development practices across the end-to-end software development life cycle.
- Optimize cloud resource costs and advise management on complex issues involving emerging technologies.
- Mentor and train colleagues, including Senior Software Engineers, and informally lead assigned work groups when needed.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver projects, specify development activities, and manage milestones and timelines.
- Support the transition from the legacy codebase to the next-generation platform.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including work with co-located and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft C++, including MFC, COM, and Win32, plus object-oriented design and development skills.
- Knowledge of SOLID, DRY, Domain-Driven Design, and core database design fundamentals.
- Experience with agentic coding tools and AI-native software engineering workflows.
- Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and REST APIs.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices and tools such as GitHub workflows.
- Experience with unit testing and test automation disciplines.
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and its listed services.
- Familiarity with Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain, inform, and coordinate across multiple formats.
- Willingness to learn and support the legacy codebase during the transition to the next-generation platform.
