Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and evolution of systems for calculating and reporting taxes on crypto transactions.
- Define multi-quarter technical strategies for the Tax Platform to simplify complexity and improve reliability.
- Architect and build distributed systems for tax calculation engines and reporting APIs.
- Lead technical design and code reviews, setting quality standards across the team.
- Partner with product, data, compliance, and frontend teams to deliver tax features that meet regulatory requirements.
- Drive operational excellence by managing system reliability and performance optimization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on high-impact problem solving.
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining production-level distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in backend languages such as Go or Python and modern infrastructure patterns.
- Deep expertise in data-intensive systems and experience with tools like Kafka or Clickhouse.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to mentor engineers.
- Excellent judgment in prioritization and problem breakdown.
