Responsibilities
- Build Go services on an event bus and develop high-throughput transactional data models and WebSocket backends.
- Own backend and core platform services, AI/ML pipelines, or connector frameworks depending on specialization track.
- Develop AI/ML capabilities including RAG, streaming inference, model serving, and evaluation workflows.
- Build integrations with CCaaS/CTI platforms, CRM systems, and SIP/RTP-based telephony systems.
- Design and operate event-driven, high-throughput, low-latency real-time services and fault-tolerant connectors.
- Prototype, debug, ship production software, and meet committed delivery timelines in one-week sprint cycles.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of backend software engineering experience.
- High proficiency in Go, with production Go experience at scale; proficiency is mandatory and tested.
- Experience with at least three programming languages across a career, including medium-strength Python or another scriptable language.
- Production experience with event-driven systems such as NATS, Kafka, or Redpanda, plus heavy WebSocket and real-time systems experience.
- Hands-on AI experience building with LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG, model serving, training, or evaluation rather than only using chatbots.
- Strong debugging, distributed-systems, low-latency, and high-throughput engineering skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving startup-style environment, learn new technologies, and deliver working software quickly.
- Preferred experience with GCP, data or knowledge graphs, AI/ML models, voice technologies, SIP/RTP/SIPREC, CCaaS/CTI, or desktop-adjacent systems.
- For integrations work, experience with platforms such as Genesys, Amazon Connect, NICE, or Five9 is preferred.
