Base Salary
$133k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for advertising systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Own and improve performance, reliability, and observability of backend systems.
- Contribute to system architecture, technical strategy, and design reviews.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in a modern backend stack.
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure smooth operation of production systems.
- Drive technical discussions and mentor peers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a backend engineer with strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience with distributed systems and high-volume services.
- Familiarity with APIs, stakeholders, and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with data pipelines or Scala is a plus.
- Strong advocate for code quality, testing, and automation.
- Collaborative attitude with a desire to work with others.
