Base Salary
$133k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build state-of-the-art mobile and desktop web applications and systems.
- Implement performant features and user interfaces for user-facing products.
- Follow high-quality design and implementation practices.
- Contribute to shared libraries and systems.
- Log and analyze operational and engagement metrics.
- Use AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to design and ship scalable, secure, correct, production-ready services.
- Optimize JavaScript performance and browser layout rendering.
- Write code for user interface components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience.
- At least 2 years of post-bachelor’s software development experience, or a master’s degree with at least 1 year of post-graduate software development experience, or a PhD in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with full-stack web development.
- High proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- High proficiency in Java, Golang, Node.js, and/or Python.
- Experience with frontend development using JavaScript UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming principles, domain-driven design, and unit testing.
- Experience with frontend design and/or web application development.
- Proficiency in or strong aptitude for using AI tools while auditing generated output for architecture, performance, and security.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a technical field.
- Preferred: experience with WebGL, Canvas, WebAssembly, service workers, GraphQL, large-scale microservices, distributed systems, NoSQL, Memcache or Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services.
- Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Passion for building rich and innovative user experiences.
