Responsibilities
- Contribute to customer application modernization projects across assessment, planning, design, data modeling, code conversion, development, testing, integration, release configuration, operations, and optimization.
- Evaluate, build, extend, and apply modernization tools and generative AI tooling for customer engagements.
- Test drive MongoDB migration products, support customer use cases, and provide feedback to MongoDB’s development organization.
- Execute customer proofs of concept, often onsite, with an emphasis on reusable tooling and eventual product integration.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence the MongoDB product roadmap and identify customer-driven product opportunities.
- Develop modernization engagement playbooks and communicate technical proposals to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work with MongoDB Professional Services, project managers, account teams, and Sales to support customer and prospect opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience as a field engineer, professional services consultant, or full stack developer working directly with enterprise clients.
- Proficiency in Java or C# and familiarity with database access patterns and frameworks in one or more of those languages.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise-scale software architectures, application development, software deployment, and operations.
- Experience developing enterprise applications with relational databases, SQL, and stored procedures using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, and/or PostgreSQL.
- Experience using and developing with MongoDB and JSON-based document models is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of generative AI concepts, tools, and services; experience building applications or tools with generative AI is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, customer engagement, and technical advisory skills.
- Willingness to work onsite with customers for approximately seven days per month, including regional travel within Europe.
