Responsibilities

Develop and maintain serverless backend components using Node.js and TypeScript.
Use AWS-managed services to build scalable and reliable systems.
Design and optimize databases, data models, and queries for performance and reliability.
Integrate internal and external systems through APIs, messaging services, and other data exchange mechanisms.
Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and development issues across backend services.
Monitor application performance, reliability, and security and implement improvements.
Contribute to architecture discussions, technical design, and continuous improvement of engineering standards.

Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, preferably in serverless or cloud-native environments.
Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly AWS Lambda and serverless architectures.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
Strong understanding of relational databases, system design, scalability, performance tuning, and secure coding practices.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security best practices.
Familiarity with unit, integration, and automated testing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.
BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.
Experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
Exposure to distributed systems, high-availability services, and cloud-native architectures is preferred.
