Base Salary
$160k - $425k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems at scale while balancing system design with active coding.
- Lead and influence system architecture and design discussions for complex products and solutions.
- Contribute production code and ensure solutions meet security, compliance, quality, reliability, and scale requirements.
- Evaluate and adopt industry advancements, including AI-forward engineering and productivity practices.
- Partner with product managers, technical leads, and engineers to define requirements and incorporate feedback into designs.
- Establish and mentor others in testing, quality assurance, maintainable coding, and downstream integration practices.
- Provide technical leadership in code reviews and debugging efforts across products and teams.
- Optimize safe product deployments according to GitHub deployment standards.
- Drive improvements in developer tooling, automation, development quality, and team performance.
Requirements
- 11+ years of experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline with production software delivery experience.
- Alternatively, an associate degree plus 10+ years, a bachelor's degree plus 9+ years, a master's degree plus 7+ years, or a doctorate plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent experience may be accepted in place of the listed education and experience combinations.
- Proven experience maintaining and delivering production software using one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
- Experience with system architecture, scalable systems, technical problem-solving, software quality, and cross-functional collaboration.
