Responsibilities
- Build and own backend systems, APIs, Ethereum data pipelines, indexers, staking and validator infrastructure integrations, and monitoring tools.
- Work across Ethereum execution-layer and consensus-layer clients and contribute to Liquid Collective and other blockchain infrastructure projects.
- Own system design through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and observability.
- Define engineering standards for API design, distributed-systems testing, reliability, fault tolerance, security, and key management.
- Translate product and protocol requirements into technical specifications in a spec-first development environment.
- Use AI-assisted development workflows, automation platforms, data copilots, MCP, and agent-based tooling to improve productivity and output quality.
- Collaborate with protocol, product, and infrastructure teams and mentor engineers through code reviews and design feedback.
- Improve engineering practices, team quality, and development culture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building backend systems in Golang.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and familiarity with blockchain systems, preferably Ethereum, including execution and consensus layers, node operation, and data flow.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps such as Flux.
- Strong testing practices for complex and stateful systems.
- Experience working in remote, asynchronous teams.
- Bonus experience includes Ethereum nodes, validator or staking infrastructure, proof-of-stake mechanisms, blockchain indexers, data pipelines, dApps, Solidity, AI-assisted or spec-driven development, MCP, agent-based paradigms, open-source contributions, or Rust.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability for quality, and a high-agency, low-ego working style.
