Base Salary
$166k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and re-engineer high-throughput, distributed backend data systems for scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, and data integrity.
- Drive technical strategy and zero-to-one architectural decisions for a high-impact Patient Services initiative.
- Build distributed, event-driven, and microservice-based systems.
- Mentor engineers, review architectures, and establish design patterns and operational rigor.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools and frameworks to improve development velocity while maintaining quality guardrails.
- Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the engineering roadmap and product vision.
- Drive sustainable operational improvements for customer-facing products.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of related professional experience.
- Experience building distributed and event-driven systems.
- Experience with microservice development.
- Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and frameworks.
- Experience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Experience with on-call responsibilities, early-stage or high-growth startups, and high-reliability or high-accuracy products is preferred.
- Experience with Node.js and Kafka is preferred.
