Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution across complex customer AI engagements.
- Design and build production AI architectures, including multi-agent orchestration, enterprise retrieval systems, and decision intelligence platforms.
- Define testing, evaluation, observability, production-readiness, and incident-response standards for AI systems.
- Create reusable engineering patterns, accelerators, and platforms that scale the FDE practice and reduce customer time-to-value.
- Mentor junior FDEs, coach engineers on system design and customer engagement, and contribute to interviewing and hiring.
- Identify opportunities to expand AI adoption across customer organizations and feed learnings back into AWS services and the FDE practice.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team, and/or communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences including senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading agentic and spec-driven development at production scale, with experience in AI tools such as evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Full working proficiency in Korean.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: AWS Services experience and experience building or deploying AI/ML applications at enterprise production scale.
- Preferred: founder, engineering lead, or startup-builder background with high ownership and urgency.
- Preferred: experience architecting complex multi-component systems in customer production environments.
- Preferred: experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
- Preferred: experience leading customer-facing technical projects or managing external stakeholder relationships.
- Preferred: 3+ years in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
