Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, monitor, and integrate custom ML models and generative AI services across their full lifecycle.
- Develop LLM-based extraction, classification, document analysis, RAG, chatbot, OCR, computer vision, fraud detection, and insurance automation solutions.
- Build and enhance AWS-native serverless AI and data-processing pipelines using Terraform and services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SageMaker.
- Implement CI/CD, container workflows, model registration, monitoring, drift detection, structured logging, dashboards, alarms, and SNS notifications.
- Senior engineers own solution architecture, technical decisions, design and code reviews, mentoring, and delivery of initiatives from concept to production.
- Junior engineers implement well-scoped workstreams under established designs and guidance from senior engineers.
- Support vendor evaluation, third-party integrations, enterprise platform integrations, and collaboration with data engineers, business analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Follow AI governance and Responsible AI requirements, including risk assessments, model registry maintenance, prompt and model documentation, human-in-the-loop quality control, and data-privacy controls.
Requirements
- Python proficiency and experience with ML frameworks or algorithms such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience with or knowledge of generative AI, LLM techniques, prompt engineering, structured extraction, RAG, embeddings, and hosted models such as Anthropic Claude and Amazon Bedrock.
- Experience building or deploying on AWS using services including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SageMaker, Bedrock, Textract, DynamoDB, S3, ECR, CloudWatch, VPC, and IAM.
- Experience or exposure to Terraform, serverless and event-driven architectures, Docker, Git-based CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of ML lifecycle operations, including training, deployment, model registration, monitoring, and drift detection.
- Senior candidates require solution architecture ownership, mentoring, and design and code review experience.
- Preferred qualifications include custom ML operations, OCR and document intelligence, computer vision, vector search with pgvector, Amazon Redshift, pytest, Hypothesis, fast-check, SAST or dependency scanning, OpenAPI, FastAPI, React, Vite, MUI, Responsible AI, LLM guardrails, and relevant AWS certifications.
- Malaysian nationality is preferred, and candidates able to join immediately through a 60-day notice period are preferred.
