Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and serve as the primary technical interface to DISA engineering leadership.
- Lead enterprise architecture for Java/Spring and React applications deployed in Kubernetes.
- Design PostgreSQL database architecture, synchronization strategies across enclaves, and legacy Oracle integration and transitional replication with JOPES.
- Architect secure REST APIs and external DoD system interfaces.
- Guide Docker, Kubernetes, RHEL, multi-enclave deployment, and secure CI/CD strategies.
- Oversee ELK-based logging and observability and ensure DevSecOps pipeline integration.
- Communicate architectural decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and data integration strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, sprint demonstrations, and security assessments in high-visibility DoD environments.
- Ensure the architecture supports Government Purpose Rights and modular open design.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in an Engineering discipline, or four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
- 10+ years of enterprise software architecture experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on Java/Spring development leadership.
- Deep experience building web-based enterprise applications and architecting PostgreSQL databases and replication strategies.
- Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes in secure government environments and multi-system data exchange across DoD systems.
- Strong REST API/Web Services and DevSecOps experience, including SIPR environments.
- Ability to communicate complex architectures, DevSecOps workflows, and data integration strategies to government stakeholders, senior leadership, and engineering teams.
- Proven experience leading technical discussions in high-visibility DoD environments.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Preferred experience with Azure, Kubernetes, containers, Infrastructure as Code, DISA or classified DoD software, and JPES/JCRM/JOPES.
