Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate core AI platform and backend services.
- Develop services supporting AI agent execution, orchestration, and tool integration.
- Implement secure and auditable RESTful and event-driven APIs.
- Contribute to a centralized tool gateway or mediation layer for AI agents.
- Integrate enterprise data platforms, APIs, and services through defined contracts and interfaces.
- Deploy and operate services on AWS and Google Cloud.
- Use Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code workflows to support containerization and orchestration.
- Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, data engineers, security teams, and product partners.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in backend software engineering, cloud engineering, or platform development.
- Strong expertise in Python programming.
- Hands-on experience building and operating services on AWS and/or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
- Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Ability to independently own and deliver engineering tasks and small projects.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills in complex systems.
- Preferred: exposure to AI/ML platforms, LLM-based systems, or agent frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with API gateways or mediation layers, messaging and streaming systems, serverless architectures, cloud security, observability tools, or mentoring and technical leadership.
