Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and develop scalable eCommerce solutions and customizations on the commercetools platform.
- Integrate third-party systems, APIs, and services with commercetools.
- Contribute to testing activities and ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.
- Implement code quality, performance, and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize solutions for speed and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Stay current with eCommerce development trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including React and Next.js.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and modern web standards.
- Experience consuming, implementing, and securing APIs such as GraphQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Netlify.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Podman and configuration management with Terraform.
- Knowledge of SEO, accessibility, observability, security, and performance considerations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proven commercetools development experience is preferred.
- Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, asynchronous integration, webhooks, eCommerce flows, and secure, scalable, resilient, fault-tolerant application design is preferred.
- Agile development experience and experience working in international cross-functional teams are preferred.
- Strong documentation, governance, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration skills are preferred.
