Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitHub pull request workflows, quality gates, and release automation.
- Build, version, secure, and promote Docker images across environments and manage image registries and tags.
- Create and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for Linux-based provisioning and configuration.
- Administer and harden Linux servers, including performance tuning, networking, access controls, patching, and backup and restoration.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and operational tasks using Bash or Python and develop reusable self-service tooling.
- Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Partner with developers, QA, and Security to diagnose pipeline and environment issues and improve delivery reliability.
- Document standards, golden paths, and operational procedures.
- Plan and execute environment upgrades and migrations while minimizing downtime and risk.
- Improve platform cost, performance, scalability, build and test execution, and runner sizing.
- Support release and change management with commit-to-production traceability and rollback strategies.
- Track delivery and reliability metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins, including pipeline as code, shared libraries, agents, and executors.
- Experience with GitHub repositories, branching strategies, and pull request workflows; GitHub Actions exposure is a plus.
- Experience creating and optimizing Docker images and managing registries.
- Linux administration experience with systemd, networking, package management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and vault.
- Proficiency in Bash or Python, or a similar scripting language.
- Experience implementing automated tests and quality gates in CI/CD.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Experience working with CI/CD environments used for deployments.
- Basic understanding of the DevOps or network layer of a microservice.
