Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitHub pull request workflows, quality gates, and release automation.
- Build, secure, version, and promote Docker images across environments while managing registries and tags.
- Create and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for provisioning and configuring Linux systems and applications.
- Administer and harden Linux servers, including performance tuning, networking, access controls, patching, and backup and restoration.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and operational tasks with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Implement and evolve monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities.
- Partner with developers, QA, and Security to troubleshoot pipeline and environment issues and improve delivery throughput and reliability.
- Document operational standards, golden paths, and procedures; execute environment upgrades and migrations while minimizing downtime and risk.
- Improve platform cost, performance, and scalability, including right-sizing agents or runners and optimizing build and test execution.
- Support release and change management, traceability, rollback planning, and rollback testing.
- Track delivery and reliability metrics such as pipeline success rate and lead time for changes, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform roles.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, including pipeline as code, shared libraries, agents, and executors.
- Experience with GitHub repositories, branching strategies, and pull request workflows; GitHub Actions exposure is a plus.
- Experience creating and optimizing Docker images and managing registries.
- Linux administration experience, including systemd, networking, package management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Ansible playbooks, roles, inventory, and vault.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or another scripting language.
- Experience implementing automated tests and quality gates in CI/CD environments used for deployments.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Basic understanding of the DevOps or network layer of a microservices environment.
