Base Salary

$108k - $221k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement AI/ML solutions aligned with federal mission objectives.
  • Design secure AI systems compliant with NIST Risk Management Framework and FedRAMP requirements.
  • Lead AI solution development in classified, CUI, and other high-security environments.
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities with enterprise architectures and legacy government systems.
  • Define AI governance, model risk management, and responsible AI practices.
  • Guide AI deployments in AWS GovCloud and Azure Government environments.
  • Oversee auditable and traceable MLOps pipelines with compliance controls.
  • Ensure data handling meets federal privacy and security regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership across contractor and government teams.
  • Support technical proposals, technical volumes, and solution architecture for contract bids.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or machine learning.
  • At least 3 years of experience architecting AI/ML solutions in government or highly regulated environments.
  • Strong experience with secure system design and compliance-driven architecture.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with LLMs and generative AI in secure environments.
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, and Hadoop in secure configurations.
  • Experience with MLOps tools, model versioning, lineage, and explainability.
  • Experience with APIs, microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes in secure or zero-trust environments.
  • Knowledge of FISMA, NIST 800-53, DoD 8570/8140, FedRAMP Moderate/High baselines, CUI, classified data, and ATO processes.
  • Preferred experience supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, or Intelligence Community organizations.
  • Preferred experience with federal contract vehicles, procurement processes, mission areas, and technical proposals.
  • Relevant security, cloud, AI, and architecture certifications are preferred.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required.
