Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of initiatives within smaller teams and help teams move quickly.
- Connect teams and ensure architectural and technical decisions are coherent across initiatives.
- Partner with architects on engineering practices and unblock high-priority initiatives.
- Lead greenfield development and challenge existing approaches to business and engineering problems.
- Build a shared cloud and AI platform with reusable components.
- Mentor and guide engineers while raising engineering standards.
- Explore AI improvements to user experience, workflows, and engineering productivity, including building AI agents.
- Design, build, test, and maintain cloud-based applications and AI agents across the full stack.
- Contribute hands-on to frontend and backend development using .NET, TypeScript, and Angular.
Requirements
- Demonstrated autonomy and ability to help teams determine priorities and direction.
- Deep software engineering experience in frontend or backend development with strong technical judgment.
- Solid experience with C#, .NET, and cloud-based development.
- Hands-on experience building or working with AI agents and genuine interest in AI.
- Strong system design and architecture skills, including service communication patterns.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and existing practices constructively.
- Track record of taking projects from idea through delivery.
- Experience with Angular, Kubernetes, Azure, distributed systems, micro-frontends, enterprise software, multi-region or multi-tenant architecture, disaster recovery, scalability, virtual networks, security, or investment management workflows is a strong plus.
