Responsibilities
- Implement scalable, secure, and resilient backend services using Java 17+, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
- Develop, test, document, and review software components throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design and build scalable backend solutions, microservices, relational database schemas, and APIs.
- Use Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider to build, deploy, and manage software solutions.
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools, and Azure DevOps delivery pipelines.
- Investigate complex technical issues and support system stability, performance, and high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance teams, stakeholders, and globally distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional backend software development experience, with a stated experience range of 5–8 years.
- Strong experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot or Quarkus; knowledge of the Jakarta EE ecosystem is also required.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with a cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- At least 6 months of experience using Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Docker containers, Kubernetes, scalable backend systems, APIs, relational databases, advanced SQL, and schema design.
- Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, data structures, collections, software quality practices, and unit testing.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, pipelines, and Azure DevOps.
- Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, learning, and multicultural teamwork skills.
