Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage large-scale Kubernetes platforms on Amazon EKS and GKE, including multi-region deployments.
- Manage the Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, scaling, and disaster recovery planning.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness.
- Develop and operate EKS environments using Cilium, Istio/Envoy, Karpenter, IRSA, and Pod Identity.
- Support Backstage adoption through templates, scaffolding workflows, and service catalog management.
- Create reusable Terraform modules, platform automation frameworks, and AI-driven capabilities for deployment risk analysis, anomaly detection, and pipeline insights.
- Strengthen platform security, observability, and reliability through DevSecOps practices, SLIs/SLOs, software supply chain security, and incident response.
- Collaborate with platform, SRE, and engineering teams to improve developer experience, platform adoption, and engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in DevOps and Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on experience managing production-scale Kubernetes environments on EKS and GKE.
- Deep proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Harness.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Understanding of Kubernetes networking, RBAC, autoscaling, service meshes, API gateways, and AWS multi-cloud environments.
- Experience with Backstage developer platforms, reusable developer workflows, golden paths, and self-service capabilities.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, software supply chain security, artifact governance tools, Kafka, and AI-powered DevOps solutions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- AWS or GCP Solutions Architect, CKA, CKAD, CKS, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification is advantageous.
