Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support secure, high-quality production software for cloud-based payments applications.
- Build and deliver new payment flows end to end, from business requirements through production support.
- Review and debug code, establish secure coding and validation standards, and promote peer review and automated testing.
- Drive responsible, secure, and compliant adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Lead architectural evaluation sessions and promote reusable technical patterns across the team.
- Coach engineers and lead communities of practice focused on emerging software engineering technologies.
Requirements
- Hands-on software coding experience with a proven record of success.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant AI adoption in delivery practices.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, automation, and continuous delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, ideally Java.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and understanding of agile development practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Technical experience in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Knowledge of financial services, IT systems, and practical cloud-native development.
- Preferred: hands-on AI coding experience and the ability to independently own delivery end to end.
