Responsibilities
- Work throughout the software development life cycle to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement, and validate applications.
- Analyze existing applications and formulate logic, procedures, flowcharts, code, and debugging solutions for new applications.
- Maintain and use application and programming documentation during code development.
- Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
- Create deliverables and develop application implementation plans throughout the life cycle.
- Work independently on significant and unique issues and coordinate across groups.
- May supervise the activities of others.
Requirements
- Broad understanding of multiple programming languages, architectures, operating systems, databases, backend technologies, frontend technologies, web frameworks, and development tools.
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL, or Amazon Linux.
- Database design familiarity with DDL and DML and one or more of Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, IMS, or DB2.
- Knowledge of one or more backend technologies including Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Mainframe COBOL, or Mainframe Assembler.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, or CICS.
- Knowledge of web technologies and frameworks such as Node.js, React.js, Angular, or Redux.
- Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, Webpack, Babel, Gulp, or Eclipse.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, evaluate complex situations, contribute to company objectives, and coordinate among groups.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
