Base Salary

$202k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain secure-by-default frameworks, libraries, and platforms.
  • Engineer and improve core security services, including access control frameworks and secrets management.
  • Develop and own the platform for vulnerability remediation.
  • Partner with product and infrastructure teams to implement foundational security controls.
  • Offer recommendations for securing projects at all implementation phases.
  • Influence engineering initiatives through design reviews and communication of security principles.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in professional software development with large codebases.
  • Proven experience in building platforms, libraries, or core infrastructure.
  • Strong interest or experience in security engineering focused on preventative controls.
  • Expertise in programming and computer science fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, particularly AWS.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Proactive mindset for identifying and eliminating systemic risks.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies.
