Base Salary
$77k - $127k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build customer relationships by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting the sale of Esri software and solutions as part of an account team.
- Serve as a state and local government subject matter expert and ArcGIS technical expert.
- Craft and propose solutions that align Esri technology with customers’ business challenges and goals.
- Deliver technical demonstrations and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide best practices for the use, deployment, and administration of Esri technology.
- Present at conferences and trade shows and support sales-strategy planning and execution.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Esri technology, including map creation, spatial analysis, and web application configuration.
- At least 1 year of experience working in or supporting state or local government.
- Understanding of ArcGIS in an IT context, including hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Experience with technical consulting, conceptual solution design, sales processes, and business development processes.
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying database management system technology.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25–50%.
- Recommended qualifications include troubleshooting Esri application deployment and system architecture issues.
- Recommended qualifications include integrating software solutions with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.
- Recommended qualifications include incorporating real-time information streams with GIS data and IT infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts is recommended.
- Programming and scripting experience with Python and JavaScript is recommended.
- A master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field is recommended.
