Base Salary
$295k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Co-design machine learning models and infrastructure for recommendation, search, agentic applications, transformer architectures, LLMs, generative rankers, and content-understanding systems.
- Investigate end-to-end model, data, and systems tradeoffs across data pipelines, distributed training, low-latency inference, and production serving.
- Develop efficient KV-cache strategies, pruning and quantization approaches, GPU utilization and memory optimizations, and custom kernels where needed.
- Lead strategic planning and roadmap execution for scalable production ML systems covering training, data pipelines, feature engineering, and inference.
- Own the architecture and engineering best practices for scalable, reliable, and cost-effective ML infrastructure.
- Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, platform teams, and product stakeholders to design, implement, and operate robust ML platforms.
- Track industry trends in machine learning and infrastructure and guide adoption of leading-edge technologies and practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying large-scale machine learning systems in production environments.
- 3+ years of experience tech leading ML infrastructure engineers.
- Experience with modern ML systems technologies such as FSDP, vLLM, SGLang, CUDA, distributed training frameworks, inference engines, and GPU kernels.
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
