Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ship proof-of-concept AI applications through rapid testing, feedback, and refinement cycles.
- Build and integrate Model Context Protocol clients and servers, foundation-model fine-tuning, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
- Take AI features from concept to production by architecting data flows, writing production-quality code, containerizing services, and deploying them in secure cloud environments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to translate business problems into scalable AI systems.
- Develop production-grade data pipelines that integrate data with AI systems.
- Build and maintain internal development tools, CI/CD scripts, evaluation harnesses, dashboards, and secure sandbox environments.
- Monitor AI systems and ensure they are explainable and aligned with ethical, regulatory, and performance standards.
- Evaluate AI/ML advancements and open-source frameworks and share best practices across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 4 years of software engineering or machine learning experience focused on applied AI.
- Strong Python software development skills and experience with LangChain/LangGraph, Agent SDKs, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy/Alembic, PySpark, Polars, or Pandas.
- Experience with MLFlow, Sentry, RAG systems, memory systems, MCP servers, agent skills, and model tradeoffs.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
- Familiarity with Docker, AWS, and GitHub Actions.
- Demonstrated ability to ship production-ready ML/AI systems under tight iteration cycles.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
