Responsibilities
- Design and build self-service platform capabilities for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Architect GitHub Enterprise repository standards, branching strategies, governance models, and DevOps platforms.
- Develop and maintain enterprise CI/CD solutions using GitHub Actions, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Create reusable platform components, templates, and automation workflows for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Build scalable Kubernetes platforms across cloud environments, including Amazon EKS.
- Automate infrastructure lifecycle management using Terraform and cloud-native services.
- Implement observability with Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana and support platform reliability improvements.
- Implement DevSecOps practices, policy automation, compliance controls, and security automation.
- Design disaster recovery, backup, resilience, and Kubernetes workload protection strategies.
- Implement GitOps deployment models using ArgoCD.
- Evaluate AI-powered platform engineering solutions using RAG, AWS Bedrock, OpenSearch, and related frameworks.
- Analyze deployment, platform health, and infrastructure utilization metrics to drive improvement and cost optimization.
- Support incident management, root-cause analysis, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Architecture.
- Strong expertise with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, repository governance, and CI/CD automation.
- Extensive Kubernetes experience, including Amazon EKS and Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud platforms in AWS environments.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
- Experience implementing GitOps with tools such as ArgoCD.
- Understanding of cloud networking, security, scalability, availability, and resilience patterns.
- Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices including RBAC, mTLS, IRSA, policy enforcement, and security automation.
- Experience designing disaster recovery and backup solutions, including Kubernetes workload protection.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with self-service platform engineering for large developer communities and enterprise CI/CD ecosystems.
- Experience reducing cloud infrastructure costs through automation, resource optimization, and modernization.
- Experience with AI-powered DevOps and platform engineering using AWS Bedrock, RAG, OpenSearch k-NN, MCP, or GenAI technologies.
- Experience with CloudBees CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes in enterprise DevOps platforms.
- Experience driving GitOps adoption, developer productivity, operational excellence, and hybrid- or multi-cloud initiatives.
- Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, DevOps, or Platform Engineering certifications are advantageous.
