Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy GenAI and agentic AI solutions for scientific research, biometrics, clinical trials, and oncology workflows.
- Build LLM-powered applications using prompt engineering, tool use, structured output generation, RAG, and agentic workflow orchestration.
- Integrate AI solutions with data platforms, databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with scientific, clinical, data, and domain stakeholders to translate research needs into technical solutions.
- Develop prototypes and MVPs, evaluate performance, and iterate based on user feedback and business value.
- Support documentation, testing, traceability, validation, and human oversight in regulated R&D environments.
- For senior candidates, lead technical design and architecture decisions, mentor junior engineers, and support production transition.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Junior candidates require 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, data science, machine learning, AI application development, or bioinformatics.
- Senior candidates require 5+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, software engineering, or related fields.
- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with LLM-based applications, prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool use, or agentic workflows.
- Experience or familiarity with RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, document processing, knowledge retrieval, APIs, SQL databases, data integration, and cloud or enterprise deployment environments.
- Senior candidates should have experience delivering AI/ML, GenAI, or data-driven solutions and leading technical design, architecture, projects, and mentoring.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in clinical research, biometrics, oncology, cancer research, drug development, healthcare, bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, computational pathology, or medical imaging.
- Preferred qualifications include LLM/GenAI evaluation, workflow orchestration, AI agents, automation pipelines, TypeScript, JavaScript, front-end development, model optimization, fine-tuning, and domain adaptation.
- Understanding of software engineering practices, data privacy, compliance, validation, responsible AI, and regulated-environment governance is required or preferred as applicable.
