Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and technical direction for building scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Raise the engineering and operational excellence bar across tech teams.
- Engage with senior leadership to develop and execute technical strategies.
- Prioritize and plan projects and features sponsored by leadership.
- Refine the vision for overall architecture and best practices.
- Foster a culture of innovation through Agile product iterations.
- Define, measure, and report operational metrics.
- Establish and run operational support for the team's software.
- Communicate clearly with team members and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of industry experience leading engineering teams.
- 5+ years of experience in software development in an Object-Oriented environment.
- Demonstrated experience in creating a vision and influencing cross-functionally.
- Experience with large distributed systems.
- Strong competency in delivering software products in rapidly changing environments.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with global distributed teams.
