Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core backend services for the Metis security analysis platform.
- Develop Python services, APIs, and workflow components.
- Improve platform scalability, resilience, and operability as adoption grows.
- Build observability through metrics, dashboards, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
- Contribute to backend architecture and service integration.
Requirements
- Strong Python coding ability and comfort with scripting such as bash.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating backend services or internal platforms in production.
- Strong understanding of API design, service-to-service integration, and backend architecture.
- Experience working in cloud environments, ideally AWS.
- Experience with containers and related tooling, such as Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern engineering workflows.
- Good communication skills and ability to work across security and engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale analysis pipelines, data processing, or workflow orchestration.
- Preferred: familiarity with observability tooling, operational metrics, and service health dashboards.
- Preferred: experience integrating AI/ML capabilities, including large language models, into production software or developer tooling.
- Preferred: experience evaluating, monitoring, and improving AI-assisted workflows for security analysis, code analysis, or engineering productivity.
