Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and evaluate technology choices with peers and stakeholders.
- Review other developers’ code for style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to and update documentation or educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, services, and quality.
- Collaborate with adjacent engineering, product, and SRE teams on complex technical designs and operational issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience programming in Go, Python, C++, or Java.
- At least 3 years of experience designing, building, and scaling large-scale distributed systems or infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of experience managing the design and implementation of solutions for technical problems.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience with network engineering, software-defined networking, or network control planes and protocols such as BGP, TCP/IP, and MPLS.
- Preferred: experience with system automation, automated testing, or continuous deployment pipelines in production.
- Preferred: experience diagnosing and resolving complex systemic troubleshooting issues in distributed control plane systems.
- Ability to communicate complex technical designs clearly and collaborate effectively with adjacent teams.
