Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy technology projects and programs.
  • Lead projects, serve as an escalation point, and guide less experienced staff.
  • Diagnose ServiceNow Discovery failures involving credentials, network permissions, and discovery logs.
  • Drive CMDB health initiatives covering completeness, correctness, compliance, and relationship accuracy.
  • Remediate stale configuration items, duplicate records, orphaned relationships, and other data-quality gaps.
  • Design automation for CMDB governance and configuration management processes.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow Discovery solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Build integrations between ServiceNow and Microsoft Azure, AWS, SCCM, and SolarWinds.
  • Create and manage horizontal, cloud, and serverless discovery schedules.
  • Develop custom discovery probes, sensors, and patterns for specialized hardware, software, and application dependencies.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is desired.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is desired.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is desired.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification in Discovery and/or ITOM is desired.
