Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
- Develop Java, Spring Boot, React, RESTful API, microservices, and event-driven integration solutions.
- Build cloud-native applications and contribute to application modernization, cloud migration, and platform engineering initiatives.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Git, Harness, GitHub Actions, and related tools.
- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, SQL query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
- Ensure application reliability, scalability, observability, security, and performance.
- Lead projects and moderately complex technical initiatives, provide guidance to less experienced staff, and act as an escalation point.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, security teams, QA teams, stakeholders, peers, and managers.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, technical mentoring, and automated test coverage improvements.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with React.js, state management, responsive UI development, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging or streaming platforms, including Apache Kafka concepts such as producers, consumers, topics, and partitions.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms, plus strong Git experience.
- Experience developing automated unit tests, integration tests, and test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform, preferably GCP or AWS; Azure experience is acceptable.
- Strong database development and design experience with Oracle or other relational databases, including SQL optimization, performance tuning, and schema design.
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
- Understanding of secure coding, software design patterns, application performance optimization, and cybersecurity or identity and access management domains.
- Awareness of Python for automation, scripting, data processing, or AI/ML-related initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
