Base Salary
$180k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and architecture for complex, cross-functional post-transaction systems.
- Own the full software development lifecycle and write and review high-quality production code.
- Break down ambiguous technical challenges into actionable solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance and constructive code-review feedback.
- Partner with product, data, design, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Improve observability, incident response, reliability, performance, and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus 8 or more years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and building distributed, large-scale backend systems and understanding service-oriented or microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including managed services, infrastructure as code, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and work through ambiguity.
- Clear written and verbal communication and effective collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers or informally leading technical initiatives is preferred.
