Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot basic software solutions within a defined technical area.
- Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with peer guidance.
- Interpret architecture, design representations, and nonfunctional requirements to develop software against a defined architecture.
- Apply automation and reuse-first practices to reduce manual toil across the software development lifecycle and toolchain.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for design comprehension, coding support, unit tests, documentation, and workflow automation while validating outputs.
- Analyze basic data sets to support technical troubleshooting and generate continuous-improvement insights.
- Address basic code-quality issues while maintaining security, resiliency, traceability, and auditability expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 1+ year of applied software engineering experience.
- Baseline knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within a discipline.
- Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for software engineering workflows, including data sensitivity awareness and strong validation habits.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and technical recommendations, escalate uncertainty, and follow security and data-handling requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to code in one or more programming languages.
- Understanding of business analysis, software development, maintenance, and software improvement.
- Proficiency with developmental toolsets.
- Ability to work effectively in large, collaborative teams and contribute to an inclusive and innovative culture.
- Exposure to cloud technologies preferred.
