Responsibilities
- Lead on-site software commissioning and full-scope installation of Kommand, pick-to-light, overhead illuminator, and related warehouse automation systems.
- Perform wiring, hardware configuration, functional testing, IQ/UAT, formal documentation, and customer sign-off.
- Deliver new Kommand installations, application pre-configuration, database scripting, pre-deployment testing, and production environment configuration.
- Execute Kommand upgrades using SSDT schema comparisons, version control, local testing, customer coordination, and after-hours production changes.
- Diagnose and remediate live production issues, route confirmed fixes to QA, and participate in on-call support for Kommand, AutoStore, and T-sort escalations.
- Translate business requirements and customer discussions into system, network, and parameter configurations and support customer training and testing.
- Provide post-go-live support, system migrations, ERP/WMS integration testing, and multi-site rollout assistance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience commissioning warehouse execution or control software and associated hardware peripherals.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server-based application environments, SSDT schema comparison, and version control practices.
- Experience with formal software testing methodologies such as IQ/UAT, including documentation and customer sign-off.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve live production issues under time pressure.
- Hands-on installation capability for wiring, hardware configuration, pick-to-light, and overhead illumination systems, or willingness to develop it.
- Willingness to work after hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Ability to translate business requirements and customer conversations into structured system configurations.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills and experience coordinating upgrades, go-live support, and training.
- Preferred qualifications include AutoStore or T-sort experience, ERP/WMS integration testing such as SAP, and experience in material handling, warehouse automation, or industrial controls.
