Base Salary
$228k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and enforce AI governance frameworks, data privacy controls, security guardrails, and standards within the GCP/Vertex AI ecosystem.
- Lead selection and maintenance of AI/ML technologies while optimizing latency, cost, throughput, scalability, reliability, and availability.
- Architect agentic workflows for autonomous fleet telemetry analysis and proactive diagnostic resolution.
- Design AI-enabled digital-twin validation pipelines using Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations before deployment.
- Drive integration of Generative AI across product development and guide cloud-to-device, distributed-systems, data, and IoT architecture.
- Champion organizational adoption of AI and cybersecurity practices, secure leadership buy-in, and lead innovation and change initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive backend, distributed-systems, and production software-development experience with managed cloud services such as GCS and AWS.
- Experience with GCP/Vertex AI, Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic workflows.
- Experience with hardware-software integration, IoT, cloud-to-device architectures, edge constraints, Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation, and secure OTA update management.
- Experience building software subject to strong cybersecurity requirements, including NERC CIP, ISO27001, or SOC2.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and architecting multi-year product deliverables and making technical trade-offs across stakeholders and product roadmaps.
- Ability to communicate technical architecture and trade-offs to executives, business stakeholders, and implementation teams.
- Experience in industrial automation, energy-grid management, or power-generation and distribution is strongly preferred.
