Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable production AI pipelines, RAG systems, multi-step reasoning workflows, and streaming interactions for voice-based healthcare agents.
- Translate healthcare workflows into safe, scalable, and human-centered AI experiences with product, clinical, and engineering teams.
- Prototype and deploy zero-to-one features using LLMs, retrieval systems, and streaming architectures while maintaining production reliability and clinical safety.
- Develop real-time, conversational, and long-running AI workflows that handle edge cases and failure modes gracefully.
- Improve model evaluation, safety testing, observability, measurement, and monitoring infrastructure for agent interactions.
- Contribute to technical culture through documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software, ML, or AI engineering.
- Proven experience building and shipping AI- or ML-powered products in production.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering, vector databases, and retrieval systems including RAG; experience with voice agents or willingness to learn rapidly.
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and modern DevOps practices including Terraform, CI/CD, and monitoring.
- Preferred experience building or deploying LLM-based or multi-agent systems at scale.
- Preferred hands-on experience with speech recognition, text-to-speech, or streaming architectures for real-time AI experiences.
- Preferred exposure to healthcare, safety-critical domains, or regulated product development.
