Responsibilities
- Deliver significant features independently from design through production across shared internal systems.
- Work across systems supporting data, security, purchasing, licensing, identity, authentication, and usage.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and develop understanding of Redgate’s platform design and operation.
- Investigate, resolve, and help prevent production and support issues using logs, telemetry, database queries, and service diagnostics.
- Apply design principles, testing methods, architectural patterns, and safe change management to shared and production systems.
- Communicate technical findings, risks, and trade-offs to engineering and product partners.
Requirements
- Solid experience with modern C#/.NET, SQL, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Confidence applying design principles and architectural patterns while understanding contextual trade-offs.
- Strong engineering practices including unit testing, code review, debugging, and maintainable change management.
- Awareness of distributed systems and operational risks including timeouts, retries, versioning, and partial failures.
- Ability to investigate production and support issues using logs, telemetry, database queries, and service-level diagnostics.
- Strong written and in-person communication skills.
