Base Salary
$173k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production infrastructure for feature access logic, promotions, trials, in-product notifications, and experimentation.
- Partner with product managers, designers, data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to support Slack’s growth strategy.
- Lead engineering-driven projects from design through launch and post-launch operation, including work on ambiguous problems.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers.
- Work across varying amounts of backend and frontend development in a full-stack role.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production systems at scale.
- Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python or Go.
- Experience leading cross-team and cross-functional projects from design through launch and post-launch.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience with TypeScript, React, PHP, or Hack.
- Preferred: experience with entitlements or permissions, promotions, trials, experimentation, or notification systems.
