Responsibilities
- Implement back-end services and integrations with data stores, APIs, and third-party APIs.
- Build and support reliable databases and APIs for real-time automated decision-making.
- Deploy software using Kubernetes clusters, AWS Lambda, and related container-based tooling.
- Investigate and resolve production issues by analyzing code, data, and system behavior.
- Develop robust automated test suites across module, integration, and system levels.
- Write and review technical design documents and collaborate with Product Managers and senior engineering staff.
- Apply security practices to protect user data and improve the security baseline.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Practical knowledge of at least one relational database system, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Ability to participate in software design and architecture discussions.
- Experience implementing module, integration, and system tests.
- Strong communication, ownership, accountability, and willingness to learn.
- Good security practices and command of written and spoken English.
- Availability for cross-time-zone collaboration, including occasional evening meetings on average two days per week.
- Preferred: experience with data analysis and BigQuery, familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, and real AI use case production experience.
