Base Salary
$173k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues.
- Support the operation and availability of team artifacts through metrics, escalation, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
- Set and improve code review and design standards and advocate for quality through writing and technical talks.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Practical experience using LLMs or AI frameworks to enhance automation and guidance with guardrails and citations.
- Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with simple, extensible designs.
- Ability to make significant changes safely in a large codebase using appropriate tools and practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
