Base Salary
$116k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications and services for Natera’s genetic laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to make key design and technical implementation decisions.
- Work with stakeholders and users to define requirements and develop reliable, extensible, operations-friendly applications.
- Build sustainable applications and optimize operational workflows and software.
- Improve development processes and procedures and promote engineering best practices.
- Handle protected health information in paper and electronic form while maintaining required training compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable program, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least five years of overall software development experience.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in Java; Spring Framework and Hibernate experience is preferred.
- Experience with web services, including REST, and relational databases.
- Front-end web programming experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular is preferred.
- Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition, SQL programming, AWS infrastructure, and Docker or container-oriented technologies.
- Demonstrated teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
- Healthcare IT or experience in regulated environments is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policy and procedure compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of hire.
- Must pass a post-offer criminal background check.
