Responsibilities

  • Create end-to-end test strategies and test plans for cloud-based networking applications and services.
  • Plan, develop, execute, and automate functional, integration, performance, scale, and load test suites.
  • Automate features from end to end across APIs and graphical user interfaces.
  • Perform API testing covering functional, security, scale, and performance aspects.
  • Review automation code written by team members and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Development, CloudOps, and other teams on testing activities.
  • Review customer deployments and customer-reported issues and address gaps in test coverage.
  • Test wired, wireless, enterprise networking, security, and networking protocols.
  • Debug products built on cloud and containerized architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 3 to 12 years of experience in the network management or orchestration domain.
  • Experience testing cloud-based applications and using AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, clustering, virtualization, and hypervisors.
  • Hands-on programming experience with Java, Python, Robot Framework, Perl, Go, or Tcl/Tk.
  • Experience with API testing, API contract testing, mocks, and API automation.
  • Experience with UI test automation using Selenium, Robot Framework, and Python.
  • Experience with performance testing and monitoring using tools such as JMeter or Locust.
  • Experience testing networking protocols and enterprise wired and wireless networks.
  • Experience with security concepts and protocols including AAA, 802.1X, captive portals, VPNs, firewalls, and SSL.
  • Proficiency in Linux or Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with Git and GitHub.
  • Comfort working with PostgreSQL, Redis, Ignite, and other SQL, NoSQL, or in-memory databases.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Good debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
