Base Salary
$250k - $340k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Replit’s core money infrastructure.
- Own and scale the global order-to-cash foundation for various billing models.
- Enable rapid pricing experimentation by building flexible abstractions and APIs.
- Create localized payment experiences for users across different geographies.
- Develop payment rails for apps, subscriptions, and monetization primitives.
- Collaborate with finance and data teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Work with external partners to enhance payment execution.
- Establish monitoring systems to detect issues and optimize performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend expertise.
- Experience with subscription or recurring billing platforms.
- Hands-on experience with payment processing or compliance systems.
- Strong system design skills for high-reliability financial domains.
- Ability to work autonomously in fast-moving environments.
- Excellent debugging skills for complex billing scenarios.
- Experience building customer-facing billing interfaces.
