Responsibilities
- Prepare migration context, including functional documentation, source schemas, and target data models, for bidirectional LLM-generated mappings.
- Design and tune prompts for generating queries, mappings, and transformation rules while reducing human-review rework.
- Review generated SQL and mappings against data models, entities, relationships, and constraints.
- Resolve unreliable LLM outputs and data conflicts while preserving required constraints.
- Build parameterized queries to detect changes across databases, spreadsheets, and document folders.
- Develop safeguards with the Senior Python Developer for controlled, approved writes to source systems.
- Classify failed synchronization records by root cause and convert treatments into approved rules.
- Automate migration preparation, artifact generation, version comparison, and input tracking.
- Version approved artifacts with their source inputs and document reusable preparation procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience with Python and software engineering best practices.
- Advanced SQL experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery.
- At least 1 year of experience building production LLM applications beyond prototypes.
- Experience integrating hosted LLM APIs with structured output and validation.
- Experience with prompt engineering, prompt versioning, fallback strategies, and cost and latency optimization.
- Experience evaluating LLM output using test cases and defined evaluation methodologies.
- Ability to understand and modify partially documented codebases created by others.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools with explicit verification of their output.
- Strong autonomy, attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and advanced English fluency.
- Preferred qualifications include data migration or ETL experience, Vertex AI or Gemini experience, spreadsheet or document data extraction, and MLOps experience.
