Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems.
  • Build customer-facing applications with emphasis on usability, performance, and security.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Design low-latency, high-throughput solutions for large-scale workloads.
  • Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and related messaging technologies.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/CloudBees and GitLab.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Rancher.
  • Configure API gateways and service meshes using Apigee and Istio.
  • Apply certificate management, TLS/mTLS, authentication, and authorization best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Drive coding standards, testing, automation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST API design and development, distributed systems, and Kafka.
  • Extensive experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance applications.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean architecture principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git/GitLab, and Jenkins/CloudBees.
  • Experience with source control management and DevOps best practices.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-native application development, Apigee, Istio Service Mesh, and Rancher.
  • Familiarity with React.js and/or Node.js for frontend integration.
  • Exposure to AI/Generative AI technologies and integrations.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Azure Monitor.
