Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the enterprise AI architecture roadmap, reference architecture, integration patterns, tools, platforms, and reusable design standards.
- Design, prototype, and guide implementation of production AI systems, including data pipelines, model workflows, deployment, monitoring, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
- Establish architectural guardrails for generative AI, machine learning, LLMs, RAG, intelligent agents, APIs, and model integration patterns.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, PLM, and APIs, and build RAG, agent, document intelligence, and enterprise search capabilities.
- Establish AI data architecture standards covering semantic models, metadata, taxonomy, lineage, and access.
- Implement production-readiness practices including evaluation datasets, hallucination testing, human-in-the-loop processes, and observability.
- Lead vendor evaluation, technical validation, benchmarking, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Create reusable accelerators, implementation playbooks, design patterns, technical documentation, and architectural decision records.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, architectural review, and strategic communication to teams and senior technology and business leaders.
- Prioritize AI use cases based on business value, scalability, risk, and delivery speed.
Requirements
- A university degree, such as a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 8+ years delivering production AI/ML solutions with hands-on engineering experience.
- Expertise in LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agent-based systems.
- Experience with AI frameworks and tools including LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI, and Azure OpenAI.
- Strong background in enterprise AI integration and data ecosystems.
- Proven ability to lead vendor evaluations and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Preferred experience with the Microsoft/Azure AI stack, including Azure OpenAI, AI Search, Fabric, and Power Platform.
- Strong communication, presentation, organization, planning, time-management, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple competing tasks, work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
