Responsibilities
- Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales customer satisfaction, upselling, and subscription renewals.
- Support customers by discovering use cases and understanding business requirements.
- Design customer solutions using Cloudera technologies, reference architectures, and common patterns.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Partner with Account Managers to communicate solution value and drive successful sales.
- Present product roadmaps and vision to customers.
- Coordinate with internal Cloudera teams and advocate for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering.
- Participate in conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs, and other external evangelism.
- Contribute to team sales targets and knowledge exchange with peers and the wider community.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context.
- Ability to create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Experience with Big Data, data warehousing, or relational databases.
- Experience with one or more of AWS, Azure, or GCP; cloud certification is optional.
- Experience with data engineering, data science, or machine learning.
- Knowledge of enterprise operations, security, and data governance.
- Experience with Unix or Linux.
- Experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
